Netflix release Ava Duvernay’s “When They See Us,”

Netflix has finally released Ava Duvernay’s latest piece of work, “When They See Us,” a heart wrenching four-part series exploring the wrongly convicted Central Park Five.

Based on the true life events of five teenagers, (Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana and Korey Wise) in the spring of 1989, where a trip to Central Park results in the group being questioned for a brutal rape and attack. The series takes us on a dark journey, unveiling the corruption of the criminal justice system and the power it has to tear communities apart.
